In his research, Johan Lilliestam and his research group analyse strategies and policy measures for a transformation towards a fully renewable energy system: what do we need to do to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement? A particular focus is the empirical analysis of the effectiveness of policy measures and the interactions between different policies. To enable such empirical analyses of existing policies, also for the broader research community, his group is currently supported by the DFG within the framework of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI4Energy).
